There wasn’t anything special about my drive to school Friday morning. It was pretty dark and kinda dreary outside. I had k-love on the radio I was thinking about my day to come. The daily routine. I got to Bigfork, turned the corner to school, and right in front of me was one of the most beautiful sunrises I think I’ve ever seen. It had these sunbeams that stretched out so far. The emitted light was this golden pink glow. Not to turn a sunrise into a sermon, but it made me think about how we all go through rough times. Hard times. Dark times. Nothing is special about our situation and we hope it gets better soon. Please, trust that God is working behind you. The entire time I was driving to school that day, God was working on the sunrise behind me and I had no idea. I couldn’t see it. It was only after I turned the corner that I could marvel at his handiwork. I just want to encourage you today that no matter what you’re going through, even if things look like they may never clear up, God is doing things behind you that you have no idea about. You have to keep going so that you can turn the corner someday. He has so much in store. Trust me, your sunrise is coming.
“So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
